House wife and Mother

I'm exhausted. I get sick often in Lima because of the humidity, pollution and just different things in the air to give hay fever and the flu. Yet I'm always pushing myself to clean and try to cook most days because I don't want my mother-in - law to shout at my husband late at night when she gets home. So now my chronic fatigue syndrome has been pushed too much this time- my body, glands and brain are aching so much, so today I haven't cleaned or cooked. I slept and my baby slept too. She's had fun destroying everything and I'm fine about it. It's nearly dinner time and I'm starting to feel a little bit guilty about the mess. But I am happy to have finally had a day of rest.

Date Night

Last night Fernando saw my little box of unused sparklers and said we needed to use them - I had bought them back in December from someone selling things to people in cars- this is common here in Lima- we were going to use them for New Years Eve and then for Isabella's Baby Blessing lunch...but they just kept staying up on the kitchen shelf...After we put Brian and Isabella to bed he called me outside and said we were going to use them now, so suddenly we were having our five minute date- our first one for the year;) It was pretty fun to write messages to each other with the sparklers:)

here are the necklaces I have bought or been given by Fernando- so far...

mixing bowls, colander, sieve and measuring cups

felt leche (milk) and two cupcakes

my drinking bottle

ajo (garlic) tin and chicken timer..

chicken and corn magnets on the fridge

pretty fruit bowl on the dining table

bright grater and citrus juicer

colourful kitchen utensils make cooking fun;)

the best baby gym I have ever seen and an elephant tower

miniatures- because it's never too early to learn ;)

why yes we DO have a tee pee in our apartment! It holds all the toys neatly tucked away- and Brian loves to sleep in it at night:)

Well we finally have a place to call our home- although it is a rather "cozy" one. But it is ours for the next 5 months months more- we have already been here one month now. Slowly pieces are being gathered for it and I have to make mental notes about which things will travel out of Peru with us when we leave and what will we sell here.

isabella's fashion show

isabella has some dresses that she is just about to grow out of, so i decided to make a fashion show of them with her!
xo

lately.......

Ahhh lately so many crazy things have been happening!
i've been going into ther city regularly for an osteo appointment, so i started taking photos of beautiful buildings i love, isabella and i moved to a friends home while we finish waiting to leave because we were told to move out of our previous home without any reason, - she is quite loved by the new family!
i am feeling overly stressed and exhausted by getting us organised to move over to peru, i just want to be there with my beautiful husband, everyday i miss him so much- we both look forward to hearing from each other everyday and can't wait to see each other in person again.
we caught up with a good friend jen in a delightful park on her lunch break one day:)
isabella has been trying to crawl everyday and wriggles so much, and then this morning she actually lifted herself halfway up when she was laying down to try and get up to sit! she amazes me so much:) what a blessing in my life, to wake up next her her everyday and see her beautiful smile and listen to her gorgeous giggles and chattering.
on monday i ended up in hospital for the whole day hooked up to the heart monitor and an IV drip from bad gastro- i was sick for five days. i feel better now, just tired.

Sunny Afternoon

it was just one of those days where the weather was so delightful  and perfect for seeing a friend in the city to relax on the lawns of The State Library.

little isabella all tuckered out from her adventure into the city.
